Preferences - Server

Introduction

These preferences allow you to specify a local server for previewing. To edit your server preferences:

1. On the Edit menu, select Preferences submenu.

2. Select Servers on the tree view of the Preferences dialog (you may need to scroll down the tree view).

Instructions

To Specify a Directory to Preview Using a Local Server:

1. In the Local Directory field, enter the directory containing the contents that you wish to be previewed using a local server.

2. In the Server Path field, enter the address of the local server that you wish to use to preview the contents in the directory you have specified in step 1.

3. Click Add to add this server preference to the list.

4. Make sure that the Use these settings when previewing check box is ticked, when you wish to preview using these settings.

5. Repeat steps 1. to 4. for any other directories that you wish to preview using a specific local server.

To Edit a Directory to Preview Using a Local Server:

1. In the Local Directories column, select the entry you wish to change.

2. In the Local Directory and Server Path fields, make the changes you wish.

3. Click Replace.

To Remove an Entry:

1. In the Local Directories column, select the entry you wish to change.

2. Click Remove.
